Our Ethos

our-ethos

Here at St Mary’s we pride ourselves on providing a ‘home from home’ for all our residents and their families. Our friendly and dedicated team work with you and your loved ones to promote independence and preserve dignity throughout your time with us, and we will tailor an individual care plan that is as unique as you are.

Building strong relationships with our residents is a vital part of the care we provide, whether they are with us for a short stay or as part of a long term solution. Our experienced staff are on hand 24 hours a day to get to know you and your loved ones better and to offer friendship and reassurance, as well as meeting your medical needs.

The physical comfort and emotional well being of our residents is at the core of all that we do at St Mary’s, and we understand the importance of creating a welcoming environment in which you can relax and feel safe in. We work with you and your family to make you feel completely at home regardless of the duration of your stay, and we encourage you to bring photographs, trinkets, throws and even furniture from home. This, alongside regular visits from friends and family and attentive care from our teams, will help facilitate a smooth transition from your home to your new surroundings.

We know that family and friends are important to the people we support, and this is why St Mary’s has an open door policy. We actively encourage friends and family to visit the home at any time and to take part in any events, such as our annual summer BBQ, Christmas lunches and monthly sing-alongs. If your visit coincides with meal times, you will be invited to enjoy our home cooked meals with your loved one.
