Adjusting to a new life in your later years can seem daunting, and so we place great importance on maintaining relationships with your family and friends outside of St Mary’s as well as developing new friendships from within. We want to reassure you that this is your home and your family and friends are welcome to visit at any time. There are no fixed visiting times and we operate and open-door policy where your loved ones can visit you freely.
You are actively encouraged to speak to family and friends over the phone at any time and you can have a private telephone line installed in your room at your own expense. Post is delivered to you daily, including any newspaper or magazine subscriptions you have requested. If you have any other communication needs, please don’t hesitate to ask one of the team and we will be happy to oblige. Our aim at St Mary’s is to promote and maintain a friendly and supportive family environment where you can enjoy independent living as much as possible, day in, day out.
